> PowerPoint Images
Whenever placing photos into slides, be sure to process them through Photoshop or some other image editing software first. Don't simply cut and paste from the source direct into the deck. Make the image size 72dpi first. This will dramatically improve file size issues.
>> PowerPoint Audio
While mp3 audio files are much smaller, they cannot be embedded into PowerPoint. Rather, they need to be linked from a folder which can cause issues when transporting slides from machine to machine. Use a sound editor to convert mp3s to .wav format which can be embedded and travel with the deck. This will increase the size of your deck of course.
>>> PowerPoint CD
If your using PowerPoint 2003 or higher, you can use the 'Package for CD' function which will collect all of your mp3s and linked video onto a CD ready to play. In that feature you can choose to Copy to Folder instead of a CD. This folder can then be zipped and transported. >> PowerPoint Flash
Download Swiff Point Player is a Microsoft PowerPoint Add In that enables you to insert and play your Flash movies into your PowerPoint presentations. |
